Rivers and Streams of WNC

Rivers and streams have been compared to the arterial network of the human body. They are indeed a network of arteries that provides life to a vast number of species over the entire planet, and as such, it is our responsibility as humans to ensure they are protected and free from pollution. There are many documented works from early explorers, naturalists, and settlers who described how healthy our rivers and streams were. Native Americans depended on
